Our church is #FORwilmot because we care about our community. We want to have a positive impact on the lives of people around us, as we demonstrate the love of Jesus through word and action.
We are partnering with the Township of Wilmot to plan a Community Clean Up on Saturday May 3rd, 9am - 11am. This is an opportunity for us to practically care for our community by picking up garbage at different locations around our township. Volunteers will be provided with #FORwilmot t-shirts and will be assigned to specific areas to help out.
Many hands make light work! Here are some ways you can help out with our Community Clean Up.
Crew Captains:
A crew captain will be the point person for a group of people cleaning up/picking up garbage at a specific park or school. Help with communication and make sure the people are safe and the task is completed. Will pick up supplies at church and distribute to the crew.
Crew Member:
A crew member is someone who will be part of a crew assigned to a specific park or school to pick up garbage. Be safe.
Landfill Driver:
A landfill driver will need a truck or other vehicle that will be able to hold 5-10 (maybe more) garbage bags. Garbage is to be taken to the landfill on Erb Str (Waterloo)
Supply Packers:
Help ahead of the Saturday to create crew packages of bags, gloves, masks and snacks.
